Very attentive and quality care; I was out of pocket also so the bundling of everything I needed to get my surgery taken care of made it cheaper and a lot easier than having to pay 3-4 different companies if I had gone anywhere else.

I went to this facility for a microdiscectomy. The entire process, from diagnosis to non invasive treatment to surgery and recovery was immensely, less stressful that any medical experience I have ever had. The staff were all consistently friendly. The facilities were clean. The medical providers were knowledgeable and communicated well, answering up every question that came to my mind. The nursing staff in the surgery recovery area were attentive, friendly, and helpful. My only regret is that I did not go to Nadora Health sooner.

Types Of Spinal Care We Are Experts In

Pain Management

An epidural corticosteroid (steroid) injection is a way to deliver pain medicine quickly into the body with a syringe.

The medicine is injected into the epidural area. This is a fat-filled area that covers the spinal cord to protect it and the surrounding nerves from damage.

Sometimes pain relief is short term. Other times the benefits continue for some time.

Hydrocortisone injections are used to treat swollen or painful joints, such as after an injury or if you have arthritis. The hydrocortisone is injected directly into the painful joint. This is called an intra-articular injection. The joints most often injected are the shoulder, elbow, knee, hand, wrist or hip.

Sympathetic nerve block injections help patients control chronic pain and restore mobility to areas of the body that have suffered decreased mobility due to pain. Sympathetic block injections provide a localized pain treatment without an invasive surgical procedure. They may also be used in pain diagnosis.

Conservative treatment is typically used to describe a wide range of treatments that do not involve surgery. This can be physical therapy, exercise and/or other non-invasive approaches to alleviate your pain.

Fusions

Spinal fusion, also called spondylodesis or spondylosyndesis, is a surgery performed by orthopaedic surgeons or neurosurgeons that joins two or more vertebrae. This procedure can be performed at any level in the spine and prevents any movement between the fused vertebrae.

Spinal fusion, also called spondylodesis or spondylosyndesis, is a surgery performed by orthopaedic surgeons or neurosurgeons that joins two or more vertebrae. This procedure can be performed at any level in the spine and prevents any movement between the fused vertebrae.

Transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF) is a spinal fusion technique for the lower back, in which two spinal bones (vertebrae) are joined by removing a portion of the spinal disc between them and placing a spacer (cage), supplemented by screws and rods, in its place.

Instrumented posterolateral lumbar fusion is a common spinal fusion surgical technique for addressing low back pain resulting from degenerative lumbar spine disorders. It involves fusion of two or more levels utilizing screws, rods, and an interbody graft.

Anterior lumbar interbody fusion is a surgery to treat disc problems in the low back. Fusion locks together two or more bones to stop painful motion and correct their alignment. Through an incision in the front of the belly, the disc is removed.

Anterior cervical discectomy and fusion is a surgical procedure to treat nerve root or spinal cord compression by decompressing the spinal cord and nerve roots of the cervical spine with a discectomy, followed by inter-vertebral fusion to stabilize the corresponding vertebrae.

Disc Replacements

Total disc replacement, or artificial disc replacement, is a type of arthroplasty in which degenerated intervertebral discs in the vertebral column are replaced with artificial disc implants in the lumbar or cervical spine.

Wear and tear and advancing age can damage these discs, leading to pain and disability. Artificial cervical disc replacement surgery is a procedure where the damaged intervertebral disc is removed and replaced with an artificial implant.

Lumbar disc replacement involves replacing a worn or degenerated disk in the lower part of your spine with an artificial disk made of metal or a combination of metal and plastic. Lumbar disk replacement is often seen as an alternative to the more common spinal fusion surgery.

Decompression

A disc herniation can be treated via surgery with a microdiscectomy and/or laminectomy. The portion of the disc that is irritating the nerves is removed to restore your mobility, function and alleviate your pain.

Laminectomy is surgery to remove the lamina. This is part of the bone that makes up a vertebra in the spine. Laminectomy may also be done to remove bone spurs or a herniated (slipped) disk in your spine. The procedure can take pressure off your spinal nerves or spinal cord.

Laminotomy and laminectomy are surgeries to remove part or most of a spinal bone called the lamina. The lamina is the back part of each vertebra (spinal bone) and covers the spinal canal, the area around the spinal cord. Both procedures reduce pressure on the spinal cord or spinal nerves to relieve pain.

A laminoplasty treats a compressed spinal cord and nerves. It can help manage symptoms like pain and numbness and aims to prevent future complications like paralysis. A laminoplasty also supports your spine so you can hold your head and body upright and move comfortably.

A discectomy is a surgical procedure that addresses a damaged or herniated intervertebral disk within the spine. The spinal column, or the vertebral column or backbone, comprises individual vertebrae stacked atop each other, offering structural support to the body and safeguarding the spinal cord.

Microdiscectomy is a surgical procedure for the relief of pain and other symptoms that occur when a herniated disc in the spine presses on an adjacent nerve root. During the operation, the surgeon frees the nerve by removing small fragments of disc, bone and ligament.
