The GE Optima MR450w is a wide-bore MRI with a 70 cm opening. It is a tunnel-style scanner, not an open-sided MRI. Let our team know about any concerns with enclosed spaces.
Some exams use contrast and others do not. The order and imaging protocol determine what is needed. Tell the team about kidney concerns or any previous contrast reaction.
Timing depends on the exam, preparation, and whether contrast is needed. Ask the scheduling team how much time to allow for your specific appointment.
Before your visit, confirm coverage, any required authorization, and your expected out-of-pocket cost with the scheduling team and your insurer. Ask about payment options if you are paying directly.
