Johnstown, CO – Nadora Healthcare is excited to announce that we’ve earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Spine Surgery Certification by demonstrating continuous compliance with its performance standards. The Gold Seal is a symbol of quality that reflects a health care organization’s commitment to providing safe and quality patient care.
The certification recognizes health care organizations that provide clinical programs across the continuum of care for spinal surgery. The certification evaluates how organizations use clinical outcomes and performance measures to identify opportunities to improve care, as well as to educate and prepare patients and their caregivers for discharge.
Nadora Healthcare underwent a rigorous, unannounced onsite review on February 25th, 2022. During the visit, a team of Joint Commission reviewers evaluated compliance with related certification standards including program management, clinical outcomes and facilitating clinical care. Joint Commission standards are developed in consultation with health care experts and providers, measurement experts and patients. The reviewers also conducted onsite observations and interviews.
“Spine Surgery Certification recognizes health care organizations committed to fostering continuous quality improvement in patient safety and quality of care,” says Mark Pelletier, RN, MS, chief operating officer, Accreditation and Certification Operations, and chief nursing executive, The Joint Commission. “We commend Nadora Healthcare for using certification to reduce variation in its clinical processes and to strengthen its program structure and management framework for spinal surgery patients.”
Opened in 2013, Nadora Healthcare’s mission was to offer patients the best elective surgical care in the country for their spine & orthopaedic needs. By earning the Joint Commission Spine Center of Excellence designation, Nadora Healthcare has taken the next step to showcase its commitment to provide world class elective surgical care in a bundled payments surgical center.
“We’re really excited to have been recognized by the Joint Commission as a Spine Center of Excellence,” said Dr. Scott Dhupar, CEO of Nadora Healthcare. “This is a culmination of many years of hard work by our clinical team, surgeons and support staff who have been focused on striving to become one of the best surgical providers in the country.”
Dr. Dhupar continued, “Our goal is to be a destination center for elective spine surgery across the country. We’ve seen patients from 18 states, Canada and we continue to grow. Pairing our bundled payments model which can save self-funded payors up to 75% on their surgical care, with potentially no out of pocket expense to the patient with our Center of Excellence designation has been a goal we were eager to achieve.”
