Dr. Shanon Forseter

Board-Certified Obstetrician‑Gynecologist

Dr. Shanon Alex Forseter, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified obstetrician‑gynecologist serving Colorado, specifically Thornton and Johnstown and Prowers Counties.  With over two decades of dedicated experience, Dr. Forseter earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Medicine in 2001 and completed his OB‑GYN residency at the University of Missouri‑Columbia in 2005.  He holds the prestigious FACOG (Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists) and maintains active medical licensure in Colorado, reflecting his commitment to professional excellence. 

Dr. Forseter practices at the Cisneros Center OB‑GYN in Thornton, Colorado and Prowers Medical Center in Lamar, Colorado.  He specializes in both general and high‑risk obstetrics, with a strong focus on hospitalist OB‑GYN medicine. In addition, he is known for his skill in minimally invasive procedures and fertility care.

Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Forseter believes in building lasting, supportive relationships with his patients—serving them through all stages of their reproductive lives.
